January at the First Friday Coffeehouse is reserved for an entire evening of open mic to give performers a bit more room to expand on their work, so there will be no scheduled performer. This is an opportunity for tentative or beginning performers to appear before an attentive and supportive audience. All performing artists are welcome. In order to participate, simply sign in on the clipboard with the emcee, Ricky Baker, upon arrival. The First Friday Coffeehouse is sponsored by the Northeast Harbor Library, but happens at Redfield Artisans at 125 Main Street in Northeast Harbor. Attendance at this monthly event is free. Refreshments will be sold to benefit the Mount Desert Island High School trip to Costa Rica. Discuss this article in the Mount Desert Islander forums. (0 posts) |
