Mount Desert Island school officials will host a Union 98 public meeting on Monday, Jan. 22, at 7 p.m. at MDI High School to discuss the ramifications of Gov. John Baldacci’s school consolidation plan. Area legislators have been invited to attend. Officials predict it will be a “lively” meeting.
