i have been watching the trial on HLN &the lawyers have been asking his (Oscar) cant spell his last name)ex-girlfriend. and after she answers the question she will say "my lady" to the attorney or the judge? is that south african court protocol/ettique?(like in great britain) does anyone know? cant seem to find the answer online maybe im looking in the wrong place
I was wondering the same thing. The only rational thing is I noticed the judge is female, so the witness is providing her answer, since she is presiding. Thus "my lady".
Just saw it on NBC Nightly News. Why the #%@* is she answering "yes, my lady" to a male attorney/barrister/advocate?
